The biggest difference between the two is that Shopify is a host site and Magento is self-hosted. Shopify provides different plans ranging from $14 to $179, with recurring payments. All hosting costs are included in your monthly plan without any extra effort or expenditure expected of you. Instead, Magento is a self-hosted website. You will need to work out your hosting service if you want Magento. It can be as cheap as $15 to $200-$300 a month as a cost of hosting. That leaves the cost of hosting fluctuating. One thing is certain when we compare Shopify vs Magento— Magento is not as nice as Shopify. To monitor the store at a medium level, it requires coding skills and knowledge.

Summary - Shopify is a hosted platform and its nature somewhat restricts SEO-friendliness.

4) SEO
