How to Allow to Choose State if It is Optional for Country in Magento 2

Set the "Allow to choose state if it is optional for country" field enable and disable on the Magento 2 checkout page. In your e-commerce store if the state field is optional for some of the countries then you may want your customer to enter the state even though it is set as an optional field then you can use this setting. You can set this field for your site from the admin panel with the following steps:

Steps for the set Allow to Choose State if It is Optional for Country:

• Step 1: Login with your Admin panel
• Step 2: Go on the sidebar and click on the Stores option
• Step 3: Then go on the Settings > Configuration
• Step 4: Then expand the General tab and then click on the General option
• Step 5: Then select the State Options
• Step 6: Then go on the Allow to Choose State if It is Optional for Country field
1. There are two options are available "YES" or "NO",
   Yes: Select this option if you want to display the State section as an optional entry for countries where the state part is not compulsory.
   No: Select this option if you do not want to display the State section in countries where the state part is not needed.
• Step 7: If you are done with these configuration then click on the Save Config button.
